I have consistently demonstrated my ability to listen to our community's concerns and take swift action. Whether advocating for increased funding for public safety, education and championing environmental initiatives, I have proven time and again that I am willing to fight to represent Stratford residents. Affordability has been a cornerstone of my efforts here in Stratford. Most of us believe that people who work for a living ought to be able to afford a safe place to live, quality healthcare, and to put food on the table. I know that people in Stratford are struggling. I understand that working middle-class families are the backbone of our community, and I will work tirelessly to ensure access to affordable housing, healthcare, and essential services. I am committed to securing funding for local programs to ease the financial burden on families and ensure our tax dollars are used wisely. Education continues to be a major concern here in Stratford. I recognize that a strong public education system is the foundation of a thriving community. During my three terms in office I have been a strong advocate for our schools, teachers, fighting for increased funding, better resources, and improved opportunities for our children. I know that investing in education is investing in our future. Which is why I received the 2024 CEA Honor Roll designation. My commitment to our community goes beyond these essential issues. I am a vocal advocate for fairness and equality, ensuring no one is left behind. My ability to listen, understand, and take action sets me apart as a leader.

What do you believe is the No. 1 issue facing Connecticut, and how do you plan to address it?

There is no questioning that Connecticut is an expensive place to live, as there are clear gaps between those in wealthier communities and those in impoverished inner city neighborhoods. And then there is Stratford. Our hard working town was the engine of WWII with the mass production of the Corsair. Eastern European families started their new lives here, building the weapons that would keep the world safe in a time where there is much uncertainty, like today. But what is that Corsair today? The leadership necessary to save this town is going to have to come from a real strong negotiator to get more money for Stratford. Our citizens, residents and taxpayers can't afford the ripple effects of another tax increase, and surely don't deserve irresponsible fiscal leadership in a time when the cost of living is just too high.

There have been an alarming number of deaths on Connecticut's roadways. Is there anything from a legislative standpoint that can be done to address that?

As a recovering Norwalk commuter, I am a strong supporter of the Vision Zero lens in which we can make roads safer in our towns. When it comes to I-95 we need a complete overhaul of the 20 or so miles to NYC that bog down commuters every day. When elected, I am committed to working across the aisle to ensure Connecticut's roads and highways are safer. Ensuring safer roads and preventing fatalities are possible, if we can continue to work together with CT-DOT, state and local police, and town officials.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I'm running to be the next State Representative in the 120th because our residents deserve to have a strong advocate fighting for the needs of our community up in Hartford. My track record over my last three terms on Town Council as Democratic Party Leader has proven that I can work across the aisle to get the job done. Currently, I have received over 20 endorsements from multiple unions, organizations, advocacy groups and most recently- our local Stratford Police and Firefighter unions. As your next State Representative, I will continue to fight for our residents and community every day up in Hartford.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

Protecting our Schools: I have a proven track record of putting people before party. I worked across the aisle to protect our schools, and delivered an additional $1 million dollars for Stratford Public Schools. Unlike my opponent, I offered my support in favor of free school meals, because no child should have to learn on an empty stomach. My continuous support of public education is why I have received endorsements from: AFT-CT, The 4 C's, Congress of State Connecticut Community Colleges, Local SEIU 1973 and made the 2024 CEA Honor Roll. Protecting Our Land: I've delivered over $350,000 in historical infrastructure improvements to Longbrook Park, Motil Pond and High Park while protecting old growth trees. Additionally, I secured $150,000 in funding for the long overdue South End Flood Study. From forest to shore, Stratford's environmental issues are vital to the health and well-being of our community. Protecting our natural resources, town parks, and open spaces has been and will continue to be one of my priorities as your next State Representative. This is why I am proud to be endorsed by the Connecticut League of Conservation Voters. Protecting Our Community: Working with Stratford Public Safety, I advocated for funding towards resources for additional safety cameras, traffic mitigation interventions, and increased police patrols on our streets. I am the only Stratford candidate to receive local endorsements from Stratford's Police Union AFSCME Local 407 and Stratford Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 998. Additionally, I received state-wide endorsements from the Uniformed Professional Firefighters Association of Connecticut and AFSCME Council 4.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
