Cape Cod's 1st Aldi Store Opens In Falmouth The store opening coincides with activations throughout the week, including giveaways, gift cards and more.FALMOUTH, MA — Cape Cod is set to get its first Aldi grocery store this week, and locals can get an early glimpse of the new space starting Wednesday.
Aldi announced a week of activations and giveaways ahead of the 39 Davis Straits opening, with a "sneak peek" of the store scheduled for Wednesday. Hours for Aldi are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and the store is open daily.
If Wednesday is more of a soft opening, Thursday is the official opening day and ribbon cutting ceremony for the store.
The ribbon cutting is scheduled for 9 a.m., and officials said that time will be 30 minutes before the store opens. Customers can begin shopping as soon as the ceremony ends, officials said.
Those who decide to show up on Thursday, particularly those who show up early, will have the opportunity to get some perks.
The first 100 customers to the new store will receive a "golden ticket" that could be worth up to $100. Those 100 customers will also receive an Aldi "goodie bag." All customers at the store on Thursday can locate an employee and get a free tote bag, too.
Aldi will also run a $500 gift card giveaway that stretches from Thursday through Nov. 17. Codes will be placed throughout the store for shoppers to scan and enter.
Company officials said Aldi will also donate $1,000 to Feeding America as part of the opening week celebration.
