Carnell Tate Anytime Touchdown Scorer At Wrigley Field Might Be The Prop Of The Year After Hearing Ryan Day's Comments

So for those of you who don't know, Carnell Tate is an extremely talented wide receiver for the Buckeyes. He's their 3rd option in the pass game because Jeremiah Smith and Emeka Ebuka are so good, but Carnell Tate is certainly no slouch. He's also certainly not been given the easiest hand to play in his personal life. Last July, his mother was killed in Chicago (where he grew up) in a drive-by shooting. Carnell was a freshman at Ohio State getting ready for his first season as a college football player, and his life was completely turned upside down. Really one of the saddest things I've seen.

Anyways, now the Buckeyes are gearing up for the trip to Northwestern, but instead of playing in Evanston or in the temporary facility, they are playing this game right in the heart of Chicago at Wrigley Field. And Ryan Day and the entire team know how special this moment and this game will be for Carnell Tate.

"I want to win this game personally for him, and I know the team respects the fact that he's going home" - Ryan Day

Now listen, maybe it' the degenerate in me, but the first thing I thought of when reading that quote from Coach was this: gotta hammer the Carnell Tate anytime touchdown scorer, right? The Buckeyes are gonna win the game by 30 points, so while it is certainly good for Carnell to get a win like Ryan suggests, that's also a given. What should also be a given is that when the Buckeyes have the ball inside the 5 yard line, Carnell should be getting an easy end-around or a quick slant or a bubble screen that he can house. How can you say how much you want to win for Carnell and how much the team respects and loves him and wants this for him....and then not get him in the end zone in a game where the weather will be fine and you can literally choose how many points you score? Look the story is very sad and I'm sure the game will be emotional for Carnell and his family....but this is the most obvious sign of someone getting a manufactured touchdown that I think I've ever seen in my entire life.

I call this the "Make My Ticket to the Game Free" Bet of the Week:
