arol A. Petras, of Lakeland North, Lake Ariel, formerly of Old Forge, died
Sunday at Mercy Hospital, Scranton.



Born in Duryea, she was the daughter of Edward Murzenski, Duryea, and the
late Helen (Komensky) Murzenski. She was a graduate of Duryea High School and
Marywood University, Scranton. She was a teacher with Mid Valley School
District. She was a member of St. Mary Church, Ledgedale.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Stanley Murzenski.

Surviving, in addition to her father, are sons, Charles Petras, Bear Creek;
and Michael Petras, Norfolk, Va.; daughter, Susan Petras, Hoboken, N.J.; one
granddaughter; nieces and nephews.



The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday from the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral
Home Inc., 204 Main Street, Duryea, with a Mass of Christian burial at 9:30
a.m. in Holy Rosary Church, Duryea. Interment will be in the parish cemetery,
Duryea. Friends may call from 6 to 9 this evening.
