Cathryn Yendrick, of Bear Creek, passed away Friday evening at her residence.
Cathryn was born in Wilkes-Barre, a daughter of the late John and Agnes Nitch Rampola. She was educated in the Wilkes-Barre Area School District and was a graduate of Coughlin High School, class of 1949. Cathryn was a member of St. Elizabeth’s Church, Bear Creek. She was employed by ACS Industries, ACS Christian Manor and Overlook Professional Center.
She is preceded in death by a twin sister, Victoria Johnston; brothers, Joseph Rampola and John Rampola, who passed away at 9-months-old.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, John; son, Michael Troy and his wife, Kim, Pittston; daughter, Kathleen and her husband, Jason, Bear Creek; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Lorraine Koss, Wilkes-Barre, and Christine Gunther, Dubois, Pa.

Funeral will be held at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday from the Michael J. Mikelski Funeral Home, 293 S. River St. Plains. A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 10:30, in St. Elizabeth’s Church, Bear Creek. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Kingston Township. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday.
