ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Joy Gallery in Rochester will be hosting Catoberfest to benefit RocKats starting October 11. Catoberfest will have raffles, art auctions, vendors and an art show from 5-7 p.m.

The event is being run by trooper TNR (trap, neuter, release) volunteers who work to help keep the city of Rochester's cat population down and help the wellbeing of cats in Rochester.

"Our goal is to improve the lives of outdoor cats and the people who help care for them in the city," Gretchen Ettlie, assistant RIT art professor and RocKats organizer, said. "Animals are suffering and need our help."

Joy Gallery is located on 498 W Main Street in Rochester. Catoberfest will also be held October 12 and 19 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The last day it'll be held this year is October 25 from 5-7 p.m.
