Allen had 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds in 26 minutes of action against the Pistons. Donovan Mitchell notched a trio of 3s and finished with 13 points.

Max Strus and Sam Merrill are both eyeing a return for the season opener on Oct. 23 against the Toronto Raptors.

The Bulls (2-2) are coming off an exhilarating 125-123 home win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Chicago is averaging 117.3 points on 42.5% shooting, including a putrid 4.4% from beyond the arc. The Bulls' defense is allowing 117.5 points on 42% shooting.

Head coach Billy Donovan's bunch have been a dynamic presence on the glass during the preseason, hauling in 50.3 rebounds per game.

Combo guard Coby White is averaging 22 points while guard Zach LaVine is averaging 18 points per contest. White nabbed 23 points in the win over the Timberwolves and scored 21 points in the Oct. 8 victory over Cleveland.

An injury-plagued Lonzo Ball suited up for the first time in two years, tallying 10 points in 15 minutes off the bench against the Timberwolves.
