CBS 21 suffering from ‘major power failure’

B.James31 min ago
Local television station CBS 21 is currently down, due to what they have called a "major power failure."

A post on the Harrisburg-based CBS affiliate's website explains that the station's noon broadcast was interrupted due to the failure, causing the news broadcast to go black.

"As of 2 p.m., we are still experiencing these issues," the post read. "We assure you it's not your cable, but rather our network that has failed."

The outage has also impacted the broadcast of some other CBS programs, though they are still available to anyone who has access to the Paramount Plus streaming service, and will likely be available through DVR.

News and weather updates from the interrupted broadcast were posted to CBS 21's Facebook page . The updates, via a video featuring Candace Scalese and Steve Knight, also mentioned that the power outage issues may also have some effects on the station's ability to update their website.

Additional updates, including those on repairs, will be made through the station's social media pages.

"CBS 21's talented team of engineers is working hard to resolve the issues at this time," their post read. "We apologize for any inconvenience this has called, and appreciate your patience and viewership."
