Sadly, today isn't that day for me, but for one lucky Texan, expectation met reality. The Texas Lottery announced that a resident in the state capital recently made a claim on a winning scratch ticket game that has made them a millionaire.

An Austin resident claimed the top prize on a prize winning ticket worth $1 million in the Texas Lottery scratch ticket game, Million Dollar Loteria, according to a release from the Texas Lottery. The lucky winner purchased the ticket at Pond Springs Xpress food mart, located at 13125 Pond Springs Road Suite 101, Austin, TX 78729. The person who claimed the prized elected to remain anonymous, according to the release.

This was the third of 10 top prizes worth $1 million that have been claimed in this specific scratch game. "Million Dollar Loteria offers more than $384 million in total prizes," the release states. "Overall odds of winning any prize in the game are one in 3.29, including break-even prizes." There are about 25,615,950 tickets in Million Dollar Loteria, according to the Texas Lottery website.

Texas has a had a run of winners in the lottery as of late, after the latest Mega Millions Jackpot worth $800 million was claimed by the Sol Living Trust off a winning ticket bought in Sugarland just a few days ago .
