Curious about the other (lesser) teams in the NFC North? Here's some news to know as we head into week 3.

Detroit LionsLions OC not worried about slow start - Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson says he isn't concerned about his offense's slow start, though he did acknowledge he needs to concoct "a better red-zone plan" going forward — especially as they prepare to face the feisty Arizona Cardnials

Key starters return to practice - The Lions got some good news on both sides of the ball this week as left guard Graham Glasgow (knee) and linebacker Alex Anzalone (concussion) both returned to practice this week after missing time.

Continuing to bring in kickers - The Lions signed kicker Matt McCrane to their practice squad. The Kansas State alum has thrived in the UFL/ XFL over the last two years.

Minnesota VikingsA QB dilemma in Minnesota? Sam Darnold was brought in to compete for a temporary starting job which ultimately would go to JJ McCarthy in time. With McCarthy out for the year, Darnold has excelled, shedding the concerns of his prior stops and seemingly being born anew. Is Darnold actually the long-term answer in Minnesota?

Old friend alert - As the Vikings get set to host the Houston Texans , they'll also be welcoming back two former Vikings, Danielle Hunter and Stefon Diggs. Hunter left more recently than did Diggs, but it should make for an interesting environment nonetheless.

Vikings work out former Pro Bowler - The Minnesota Vikings hosted former Pro Bowl linebacker Kwon Alexander for a workout on Tuesday, as they look for reinforcements in the spine of their defense. The nine-year veteran has struggled to stay healthy.

Chicago BearsFans show patience - According to one recent poll, 77% of Bears fans are remaining patient and optimistic despite their teams' horrendous start on offense behind rookie quarterback Caleb Williams.

Just how bad is this Bears offensive line? - Joining the Bears Banter podcast, OL Analyst Brandon Thorn told Chicago sports fans not to panic about their offensive line. But while he said improvements will come, he stressed not to expect a miracle.
