Cherry Hill School Board Candidates To Debate In Forum The candidate forum will be live-streamed this weekend. Here's how to watch.

CHERRY HILL, NJ — With the election weeks away, the Cherry Hill Board of Education candidates will gather to discuss the issues.

A candidate forum for the Cherry Hill school board will run from 7-9 p.m. Sunday. The event is hosted by the Cherry Hill Zone PTA and moderated by the League of Women Voters.

The forum is virtual and can be live-streamed. (See access instructions below.)

Ten candidates filed to run for the board, which has three available seats. Each term lasts for three years.

Below is a list of candidates, and a campaign slogan if they submitted one. All information comes from the Camden County Clerk's Office .

  • Dean Drizin, "Compassion, Excellence, Reliability"
  • Ava Friddell, "For The Students"
  • Samia Mian
  • Quadsia Birat Niaz (incumbent), "Empowering Every Student"
  • Bridget Palmer
  • Harvey Vazquez, "Innovation Engagement Fairness"
  • Niaz, who was appointed to a vacant board seat earlier this year, is the only current board member in the race. Board Members Dr. Benjamin Rood and Sally Tong, whose terms expire at the end of this year, are not listed candidates.

    Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5.
