Sports Chiefs' Practice Sighting Turns Heads Ahead of Week 3

The Kansas City Chiefs had an up-and-down week. After winning an entertaining matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals, the Chiefs got bad news about starting running back Isiah Pacheco, who is on injured reserve with an injury.

The Chiefs then signed Kareem Hunt, who returns to the franchise after spending the last five seasons with the Cleveland Browns.

Hunt spent two seasons with the Chiefs in 2017 and 2018, rushing for 1,327 yards in his first year while being named to the Pro Bowl and the PFWA Offensive Rookie of the Year.

On Wednesday, fans were excited to see Hunt at practice once again in a Chiefs uniform.

However, Hunt was spotted receiving punts in what would be an interesting position for him.

Nonetheless, fans were enamored with Hunt back in Kansas City.

"We are so back," AJ King wrote . "Never thought I'd see the day," wrote with an emoji face with tears.

"He looks fast and in shape! So happy you're back! Long overdue!"

Chiefs running backs coach Todd Pinkston also had some telling comments on Hunt, per Charles Goldman.

"He has it," Pinkston said. "He still has it. We've just got to get him up to speed. A lot of the stuff he's doing now, it's coming back to him."

Those comments had Chiefs fans buzzing even more.

"Don't overreact don't overreact don't... OMG HE'S BACK!!"

"You can watch his clips from last year, while he was injured," Uncle Glenny wrote on X. "He's still got it. Light workload the last several years."

Who can forget the eye emojis?

Hunt rushed for 411 yards and nine scores on 135 carries for the Browns last season, and now he returns to Kansas City with a chance to take over the RB1 spot until Pacheco returns.
