Cincinnati weather: Dense fog possible Tuesday morning; more rain, gusty winds coming

It's set to be a rainy and foggy day in Greater Cincinnati.

According to a special weather statement issued by the National Weather Service in Wilmington , patchy dense fog is possible Tuesday morning. Drivers should remain alert while traveling as quick changes in visibility over short distances may occur.

A dense fog advisory is in place for far western portions of the forecast area, where visibility may be one-quarter of a mile or less. Some clouds will likely move into the region overnight and in the early morning hours, which will help improve visibility.

Scattered showers and a possibility of isolated thunderstorms will also develop Tuesday. Wind gusts of 20 to 30 mph are expected late in the day.

High pressure will move into the region on Wednesday, bringing several dry days. Wednesday's highs will be in the upper 60s to lower 70s.

Temperatures will be above normal until Monday. The next chance for showers will develop on Sunday, as a cold front pushes into the region.
