Cleveland Police Accountability Team gives update on consent decree compliance

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The Cleveland Police Accountability Team and police leaders are having a meeting Friday to discuss the results of their latest report. It's happening at 10:15 a.m. and 19 News will have livestreaming coverage. Police Accountability Team Executive Director Dr. Leigh Anderson and Deputy Chief of Police Jarod Schlacht are expected to announce the results from the Monitoring Team's 15th semiannual report. According to a news release, they will also cover the city's compliance with the consent decree and efforts to improve. The consent decree is an put in place by the Department of Justice after Cleveland Police received a citation for issues of excessive use of force.
