Clutch TSSAA football playoffs performances up for Ponce Law Nashville area boys athlete of week

There were some huge performances in the TSSAA football playoffs .

Zach Borders, Macon County: Borders had 171 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries.

Neo Clifton, Brentwood Academy: Clifton caught five passes for 205 yards and a touchdown.

Mitchell Carey, DCA: The DII-A Mr. Football semifinalist was 10-of-14 passing for 317 yards and three TDs in a 35-28 win over Friendship Christian in the state quarterfinals.

EJ Gibson, Ensworth: Gibson had 11 carries for 124 yards as the Tigers dropped MBA, 28-0, to advance to the DII-AAA semifinal.

Caleb Floyd, Stewarts Creek: Floyd had 16 carries for 73 yards and scored the game-deciding TD in overtime against Brentwood.

Arnett Hayes, BGA: Hayes caught 10 passes for 160 yards and three touchdowns in BGA's 34-0 win over University School of Jackson in the Division II-AA state quarterfinal.

Aja Jones, Marshall County: Jones had six catches for 168 yards and a touchdown in a 52-13 win over Station Camp.

George MacIntyre, Brentwood Academy: The Tennessee football commit was 14-of-25 passing for 351 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions in the Eagles' 43-14 win over Father Ryan in the DII-AAA quarterfinals.

Daune Morris, Oakland: The USC commitment had 24 carries for 228 yards and four touchdowns , two receptions for 36 yards and added a 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the win over Mt. Juliet.

Rawls Patterson, CPA: Patterson had 17 carries for 213 yards and three touchdowns in a 55-21 win over Knoxville Grace.

Kaden Powell, Beech: He rushed for 163 and two TDs on 17 carries, with a 7-of-13 passing mark for 157 yards and a touchdown in the win over Southwind.

Isaiah Roseberry, Mt. Juliet: Roseberry had nine catches for 221 yards and two touchdowns in a 35-28 loss to Oakland.

Blake Voiles, York: Voiles had 14 carries for 160 yards and a touchdown.
