Coffee Revolution to move to new, larger location in Davenport in near future
One of the tiniest coffee shops in the Quad-Cities is getting a big upgrade.
The Coffee Revolution at 2426 Brady St. in Davenport will move across the street and up the road in the near future to the former Bike Rack sports bar building at 3303 Brady St. The bar and grill closed in late September after nearly 10 years in the location.
Coffee Revolution's current building is less than 300 square feet. After it's move, it will get 11 times the space in its new 3,300 square foot building.
Owner Paige Allender said the move is long overdue, as the shop has outgrown its current location on Brady Street where it has been since 2001. There is no timeframe yet in place for the transition, she said, as the new building will need renovations before it can re-open as a coffee shop.
The drive-thru only stand will remain open until then. Allender estimates construction and renovations could take about a year, but plans are still in the development phase. A menu expansion is expected, she said, with a few added breakfast items but the main focus will remain on coffee.
"I'm a Bettendorf native and I am so excited to bring back the idea of stopping along the bike path for a treat with family and friends," she said.
The Coffee Revolution also operates a second location at 2225 W. 53rd Street.
