Colin Cowherd Ridicules Jerry Jones’ Draft Strategy With Bill Belichick Comparisons After Cowboys Owner’s Meltdown

The and their owner, Jerry Jones. It's a never-ending story. He is their only savior and the very person who can trouble the team. After 6 games, the team is at a 3-3 win-loss record. But last week, there was a crushing defeat. Detroit Lions won the game 47-9 against the Cowboys. This led to Jerry Jones' meltdown on Dallas radio shows where he threatened to get the hosts fired. Now, everyone is trolling the billionaire owner.

Colin Cowherd also criticized Jones on his show 'The Herd with Colin Cowherd.' It first started with the analyst describing how Jones threatened to replace the radio hosts who asked questions about the team and their performance. However, Cowherd later went on to compare the Cowboys with teams like Green Bay Packers, Lions, and . He even claimed that not having good players was their biggest problem. But he further went on to breakdown why Bill Belichick will not return to coach the Cowboys as it logistically doesn't make sense.

There's a big reason why Bill Belichick wouldn't be able to fit in America's team. Though the legendary coach has made great decisions in his career, he is a control freak. Cowherd joked that Belichick's draft room was 'him and his dog in a small room in Nantucket' while the Cowboys draft room looks like a 'Game of Thrones council meeting'.

But the analyst also suggested a solution. He requested the team to add people to their offense and said, "You have two first-round picks. Get another receiver, get a running back from Boise State, and get Dak help. You already invested in Dak. You gotta get him help and get that work. Make your offense viable." That's necessary if the team wants to win the Super Bowl. Since they have already paid Dak Prescott the biggest contract amount ($60 million per year), it makes more sense to pack his offense in an attacking way.

Considering Jerry Jones is 82 years old, it is highly unlikely that changes would be made in the team.

Who will the Cowboys choose as their coach? Bill Belichick or Mike Vrabel The chances of Mike McCarthy's contract not getting extended are quite high. Things depend on this season and going by the current scenario and how their performances have been, a Super Bowl looks difficult.

Rumors are already flying about the legendary coach wanting to sign with the Cowboys . However, that also looks highly unlikely, as Belichick is a control freak. And here in Dallas, no decision is taken without Jones ' approval.

However, Cowherd suggested another name. Mike Vrabel! His reasoning behind that was Vrabel was young and didn't believe in controlling the personal. One big reason is that Jones could keep drafting the players. However, that seems easier said than done.

The owner wants a trophy. It's been around 3 decades since they last saw it.
