College basketball player hits back at reporter for getting her stats wrong

TCU basketball star Hailey Van Lith clapped back at a reporter for not knowing their facts after she made her Horned Frogs debut on Tuesday evening.

Van Lith transferred to the university from LSU after making a run to the Elite Eight with the Tigers last season.

In her debut with the Horned Frogs, the guard put up 21 points, five rebounds, and seven assists on a shooting line of 43 percent in a 78-41 win over Houston Christian. She also chipped in with a career-high six steals.

All this was done in the span of 35 minutes of game time. One unnamed reporter incorrectly believed that this was a career-high for the former Louisville and LSU star.

Van Lith cleared the record: 'A career high at TCU? Thirty-five minutes? That's wrong. Maybe at LSU I didn't play 35, but...'

According to BroBible, Van Lith logged more than 35 minutes of game time on 50 occasions across her time playing college basketball.

Van Lith was named to the All-ACC first team twice while she was at Louisville - making the conference All-Freshman team back in 2021.

Over the summer, Van Lith was a member of Team USA at the Paris Olympics in the 3x3 basketball competition.

Alongside Rhyne Howard, Cierra Burdick, and Dearica Hamby, the United States won bronze in the event.
