The University of Pennsylvania has been playing football since 1876 and has lined up for more games (1,441) than any other college program. On Saturday, Jared Richardson achieved a feat no other Quaker had ever accomplished. The junior wide receiver from Bethlehem Catholic High School became the first Penn player to catch three touchdown passes in more than one game. Richardson caught 9 passes for 131 yards and scored on receptions of 11, 37 and 30 yards in the Quakers' wild 67-49 victory at Cornell. Richardson also caught three TDs last year against Princeton. The 67 points were the most scored by the Quakers since the inception of the Ivy League in 1956. The combined 116 points are the most in Penn history, surpassing the 112 in its 65-47 win over Lehigh in 2017.
