Colorado Springs ranked as ‘Most Neighborly City’

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - A city in Colorado moved into the top position after ranking third last year.

Colorado Springs was ranked as the most neighborly city in America.

Neighbor.com says that " neighborliness isn't just a warm fuzzy feeling—it's the bedrock of thriving communities."

They use the following criteria to rank the cities:

  • Charitable donations
  • Crime rates
  • Voter turnout
  • Population growth
  • "These factors help us identify cities that truly embody what it means to be a good neighbor," the website said.

    Colorado Springs was at the top of the list for many reasons.

    "Nestled in the heart of the Rockies, this city stands out for its exceptional volunteerism and high voter turnout," the website said. "Colorado Springs embodies community spirit through strong participation in local charities, recreational activities, and neighborhood events. With its rugged outdoor charm and welcoming environment, it sets a new standard for urban communities nationwide."
