OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) – Celebrities, voice actors, comic book writers, and action heroes from your childhood are all in Owensboro this weekend.

The Owensboro Comic & Toy Convention is bringing to life some of your favorite memories, whether its cosplaying as a Power Ranger, living on the planet Coruscant, or running into your favorite character, this convention has something for everyone.

Kellen Lutz, beloved for his role in Twilight as Emmett Cullen is happy to greet fans.

Lutz says, "We're here in Owensboro, Kentucky here at the con and it's a blast. I mean a lot of cool fans and a lot of other actor's, voice actors, power rangers, which is amazing. Huge shoutout to Michael coupon over there. I have nitro and ice right back here. It's a really fun turn out come on out come on out."

Hundreds of fans gathered at the Owensboro convention center to see some of the people who gave them a smile growing up- putting a face to the person behind the character, including the red Power Ranger.

Jason Faunt, who played Wes Collins in Power Rangers Time Force was happy to be in Owensboro, noting full-circle moments for those who stand in line.

Faunt says, "It's cool to meet the fans from all over the world. You watch some of them and you've met them before because I've been through Kentucky where they're little. One guy said I was, I met you 10 years ago at these shows so it's cool to watch everybody grow and kind of kind of relive their childhood." For one well-known actor, he says he loves coming to Kentucky, reflecting on his family roots in Louisville.

Michael Copon says there's a huge fan base for One Tree Hill and the legacy of Power Rangers in Kentucky.

Copon played Felix in OTH and Lucas Kendall in Power Rangers.

Cons for him are a way to reconnect with fans and friends in the business.

Copon says, "It's always good to see you know familiar faces we don't really. I don't really see them even when I lived in L.A.. I didn't hang out with Jason as much as I do at comic con because I think we're both busy in the grind. We got our like weekly things that we do but now that we do these comic columns, we get a lot more time together." The convention also has panels, workshops, a gaming area, and even more for visitors to make new friends and celebrate their fandom in fashion. The convention is hosting several local vendors with something for everyone.

The Owensboro Comic & Toy Convention ends Sunday afternoon.
