Community in Tampa Bay bringing people together this Election Day
DUNEDIN, Fla. (WFLA) — On a day like Election Day, it may be difficult to see past party lines and remember the things that we all have in common.
However, there are places in Tampa Bay where people can take a break from politics and find common ground.

The Dr. William E. Hale Senior Activity Center is one of those places that offers several recreational activities for older and active adults.
"It's my happy place," Jennifer Ward said.
Ward is one of the co-leaders of the Dedicated Dulcimers of Dunedin, who led a music class at the Hale Senior Activity Center on Tuesday.
"Music is everything to me. Ever since I moved down to Florida, I was looking for a group to play music with," she said. "When I listen to music or play music, it's just relaxed, you take a breath."
Right around the corner from the room where Ward spent her Tuesday afternoon, there were dozens of individuals playing duplicate bridge and a smaller group playing Samba.
The center also offers crafting classes, a fitness center and a computer lab where John Greenburg said he has spent a lot of his time.
"As long as people are interacting with people and they learn to cooperate," he said. "Help each other, remind each other, there's hope."
The Hale Senior Activity Center is located at 330 Douglas Ave. in Dunedin and is open Monday through Friday.
