Community Spotlight: Angler’s Tribute to Veterans

SULLIVAN, Ill. (WCIA) — There's a group in Shelby and Moultrie Counties that honors veterans outside of the typical square room. Angler's Tribute to Veterans takes them fishing on Lake Shelbyville and then provides them and their families with a meal.

Community Spotlight: Onarga Independence Day Celebration

Travis Hughes came on The Morning Show to highlight what his group does and how it helps veterans and their families. He also previewed the upcoming event that will celebrate the group's fifth anniversary. They'll be teaming up with several other local organizations that help and honor veterans.

The event will take place Saturday, July 27 at the Sullivan VFW, starting at 1 p.m.
