Connecticut increases security at polls, capitol during and after election
WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — At polling locations across Connecticut, almost like a "task force" of security parked outside to make sure that the election process stays in tact.

Inside of the armory, officials are keeping track of any kinds of events or problems that may come up. They've been drilling and practicing for bomb scares, ballot box fires and even armed attacks scenarios.
"It's one of those things where you want to be prepared and you never actually know what's going to happen, but you don't want to be in a position where you're not able to respond and recover from a potential threat or hazard," State Emergency Management Director Bill Turner said. "Everything that went into all the hard work that everyone did leading up to today paid off."
Even though polls are closed, the security doesn't stop. The force is ready for rioting or even one single person being upset and creating a dangerous situation.
