B.Wilson1 hr ago
It's two days and two floors of homemade goods to spread the holiday cheer.

Copper Carriage held its Holiday Market downtown in the historic Masonic Temple at 32 West Eighth Street.

This is the second year the antique shop has put together this event for vintage small businesses in the area.

Owner Stephanie Hunt said they have expanded this year with a grand total of 70 local vendors.

"We always have such a great time putting together these markets and we really appreciate the Erie community for supporting the small business owners of this community," Hunt said.

The holiday market continues on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Pete Hegseth, the Army National Guard veteran and Fox News host nominated by Donald Trump to lead the Department of Defense, was flagged as a possible "Insider Threat" by a fellow service member due to a tattoo on his bicep that's associated with white supremacist groups. Hegseth, who has downplayed the role of military members and veterans in the Jan. 6, 2021, attack and railed against the Pentagon's subsequent efforts to address extremism in the ranks, has said he was pulled by his District of Columbia National Guard unit from guarding Joe Biden's January 2021 inauguration.

The Texas Supreme Court on Friday said the state could set a new execution date for a man convicted of murdering his toddler on evidence of "shaken baby syndrome," ruling that a legislative committee exceeded its authority in delaying the sentence. In October, Robert Roberson, 57, was set to become the first person in the U.S. to be executed for a murder attributed to internal brain trauma caused by violent shaking. Hours before the sentence was to be carried out, he was spared death by lethal injection because a bi-partisan group state lawmakers wanted him to testify before them about the case, and successfully petitioned the high court.
