Officials in Cambria County say an investigation is underway after a burned body was reportedly discovered early Wednesday morning.
County coroner Jeff Lees says local fire crews were initially dispatched, just before 2:30 a.m., for reports of a brush fire along Route 56 (Haws Pike) near the Cambria County line.
Lees says the fire, which was reportedly discovered over the guardrail, was later determined to be a body once his office arrived on scene.
The coroner's office, along West Hills police and the PSP crime lab are currently on scene.
More information is expected to be released at a later time.
