Cottage Flowers, Inc. ‘petals it forward’ in downtown Fort Wayne Wednesday

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A Fort Wayne business paid it forward in downtown Fort Wayne Wednesday in a creative, flower-themed way.

Cottage Flowers, Inc. was on the streets of downtown Fort Wayne Wednesday to take part in a 'Petal It Forward' program, handing out hundreds of flowers to community members to 'brighten up their week'.

The program is in partnership with the Society of American Florists. The random-acts-of-kindness effort is in response to the release of data by the Society of American Florists showing the positive emotional benefits of flowers.

While participating in Cottage Flowers, Inc.'s 'Petal It Forward' program, community members received two flowers: one for themselves and one to 'petal it forward' (give to another person).
