Cowboys CB rips ‘weak’ George Pickens after Steelers’ loss: ‘Pittsburgh need a receiver’

PITTSBURGH - Dallas Cowboys cornerback Jourdan Lewis, who recovered the ball to end the game in the Cowboys' 20-17 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, took aim at wide receiver George Pickens following their win. After the end of the play, Pickens grabbed Lewis by his facemask and threw him into the ground.

Pickens and Lewis got into, but were separated by referees. After the game, as he was walking back to the locker room, Lewis aimed Pickens in front of the cameras.

"Pittsburgh need a receiver. George Pickens weak," Lewis said.

Pickens finished with seven targets, hauling in three of those passes for 26 yards and no touchdowns. Dianna Russini of the Athletic floated Pickens as a surprise trade candidate on Saturday, but after the Steelers limited his snaps in an odd move on Sunday night, that could appear likelier than ever.

Regardless, the Steelers must find a way to get Pickens more involved in these games moving forward. He is a huge part of their offense, and when he does not get rolling, the Steelers offense often gets stuck in the mud.

Pittsburgh travels to Las Vegas to face the Raiders next week. They will look to stop their two-game skid and improve to 4-2 after a 3-0 start.
