Co-Worker Receives Harassing Calls: Glenview Police Blotter The complainant said they began getting calls and text messages of a sexual nature from random numbers after giving out their own number.

GLENVIEW, IL — The following information comes from the Glenview Police Department (unless otherwise noted) and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

Every person arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Antonio Serrano, 29, is accused of disorderly conduct, and was arrested at 2:57 p.m. Nov. 16, in the 600 block of 6th Street. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 30.

IDENTITY THEFT

  • A Wilmette Avenue resident reported at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 12, someone had used their American Express credit card for an online vendor. They also received several emails indicating they had signed up for new accounts with different companies.
  • A Goldenrod Lane resident called police at 12:04 p.m. Nov. 12, to report someone had opened a loan with First Community Credit Union for $27,755 on Feb. 27.
  • A Balmoral Avenue resident called police at 4:02 p.m. Nov. 12, to report someone used their debit card to make two unauthorized online transactions. An unknown male with dreadlocks rang the doorbell to the residence asking for a package that had been delivered. The resident said they returned the package to the sender. Later, another package was delivered, and they returned it to the sender. The male had entered a gray, unknown vehicle.
  • An employee of a business in the 2600 block of Patriot Boulevard reported at 2:03 p.m. Nov. 12, someone had taken a package between Oct. 31 and Nov. 4. Total loss is $6,243.30.
  • A Vantage Lane resident called police at 4:31 p.m. Nov. 12, to report receiving an email from Paypal Fraud which requested they call a phone number. The phone number led to a male with an accent who told them that there had been fraudulent charges on their account and to verify, they would need to buy 6 gift cards at Target for $990 and one Apple gift card for $500. They provided all the gift card numbers over the phone and then realized it was a scam.
  • A resident in the 1800 block of Tanglewood Drive called police at 2:02 p.m. Nov. 13, to report someone had stolen a package from their front porch. The package, containing an AT&T router, was found discarded in a Busey Bank parking lot with the item still inside of it. Ring footage showed an unknown male exit a black Toyota sedan and take the package. Complaints will be signed if the person is identified.
  • A Prairie Lawn Road resident reported at 12:15 p.m. Nov. 15, someone had stolen their wallet after visiting a business in the 2500 block of Compass Road. The victim said at the office, they presented their driver's license to the receptionist, who then returned it. The victim said after realizing their wallet was missing, they returned to the business where the staff searched the property but could not locate it. Estimated loss is $150.
  • A Chicago resident reported at 1:23 p.m. Nov. 15, the front and rear license plates of the vehicle they were driving were missing. They explained they are temporarily living in Chicago and made several stops around Glenview prior to noticing the plates were missing. It is unknown if the license plates were stolen in Chicago or in Glenview. The victim is unsure if they want to sign complaints.
  • A Countryside Lane resident called police at 3:21 p.m. Nov. 15, to report someone had stolen their wallet while they shopped at a business in the 1300 block of Patriot Boulevard. The victim explained before entering the store, they visited a nearby ATM and placed their wallet inside their purse. They noticed their wallet missing from the purse when they attempted to pay for items. Estimated loss is $100.
  • A resident in the 1700 block of Greenwood Road called police at 3:58 p.m. Nov. 15, to report that at some time in March, a license plate was stolen from their vehicle. The victim later sold the vehicle and removed the other license plate. Since then, they have received two speed camera violation notices in the mail from out of state agencies. The license plate appears to be affixed to a white GMC SUV with a white female driving.
  • UNWANTED PERSON

    An employee of a business in the 1400 block of Milwaukee Avenue called police at 4:44 p.m. Nov. 12, to report a customer was supposed to check out after a weeklong stay, but had then booked an additional month-long stay online. The employee said there have been multiple complaints about them. The staff advised the customer was not welcome on the property any longer. They were given a trespass warning not to return.

    RETAIL THEFT

    A Gurnee resident called police at 11:31 a.m. Nov. 13, to report a theft took place at a business in the 0 block of Waukegan Road. A person matching the description was located at the bus stop across the street on Golf in Morton Grove. A homeless subject was positively identified and found to be in possession of $3,016 of designer prescription lenses. The lenses were returned, no complaints signed, and they were trespassed from the store.

    A Princeton Lane resident called police at 4:05 p.m. Nov. 13, to report they had met a male at the Metra North training station and exchanged phone numbers. Casual conversation soon turned to one-sided, unwanted and sexually charged content from the male. If the lewd and lascivious conduct continues, complaints will be signed.

    An employee of a business in the 4700 block of West Lake Avenue reported at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 14, receiving a message from a co-worker asking if they can give out their phone number, which they agreed. After providing the number, they began getting phone calls and text messages from random phone numbers with a person asking them if they wanted to engage in sexual activity. They did not respond to any and wanted the incident documented.

    AGGRAVATED ASSAULT

    A Prospect Heights resident reported at 4:47 p.m. Nov. 14, a black GMC Yukon was driving recklessly with three occupants, and the driver pointed a gun at them. They advised the vehicle drives multiple times a week in the same area, often cutting off other drivers and driving recklessly.

    DISORDERLY CONDUCT

    A resident of the 600 block of Waukegan Road called police at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 15, to report seeing an elderly male urinating outside, on the property. Based on the facts provided, the officer was able to identify the man and speak to him. The man said he did not remember urinating outside but agreed to be more careful in the future.

    TRESPASS WARNING

    An employee of a business in the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue called police at 3:53 p.m. Nov. 15, to request a former employee be trespassed from the property. The complainant explained the former employee was terminated for inappropriate behavior with a coworker, then they later proceeded to yell obscenities at other employees out on the roadway. The former employee was contacted and advised not to return to the business.
