Crime Stoppers seeking tips on attempted Springfield home break-in
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — Crime Stoppers is asking the public to help them identify a suspect who attempted to break into a Springfield home.
During the week of Oct. 22, there were two separate occurrences of a male suspect attempting to break into a house in the 2300 block of Ramsey.
The Springfield Police Department is not able to confirm if it was one male suspect both times or if there were two different male suspects attempting to break into the home.

During one attempted break in, there was a male suspect wearing a white sweatshirt and black pants. On another attempt a male suspect was wearing a red long-sleeve shirt or sweatshirt and shorts.
Crime Stoppers asks that anyone with information on this crime to call Crime Stoppers at 217-788-8427, submit a tip on their website , or use the P3 app. Tips that lead to an arrest could earn you up to $2,500.
