Dale Earnhardt Jr. is reading for another go-round at Bristol Motor Speedway in the Xfinity Series, as he'll be racing in the Food City 300 on Friday evening.

Ahead of the event, Earnhardt Jr. has officially qualified, and he'll be rolling off P13, as he looks to get back to Victory Lane and showcase his abilities in one of the more exciting evenings the Xfinity Series has all season long. Chandler Smith will be on the pole, with Cole Custer joining him on the front row.

In 2023, Earnhardt Jr. almost won the Xfinity Series race at Bristol, but a fire at his feet ended his night prematurely, disappointing his fanbase.

However, Earnhardt jr. revealed some awesome news ahead of the Food City 300. After having such a great car ruined by one mechanical fire, Earnhardt Jr. and his JR Motorsports team are bringing that same car back. It has been stripped, rebuilt, and hopefully, remains fire-free this time around.

"We are bringing back the same car as last year. Totally stripped and rebuilt," Dale Jr. posted on social media , regarding the car. "Hope it handles as well. See ya in a week."

It really looked like Earnhardt was going to go to Victory Lane last season. Well, he did. But it was riding alongside Justin Allgaier , his JR Motorsports driver, as an owner and not as a driver himself.

This season, that could be reversed. To see Earnhardt Jr. win a race in the year 2024 would be more than sensational. Bristol Motor Speedway could be the site of an incredible night in the Xfinity Series if it comes true.

In other Xfinity Series and Dale Earnhardt Jr. related news, the JR Motorsports owner has landed a superstar for his team in 2025, via Trackhouse Racing. Connor Zilisch has exploded onto the NASCAR scene, and he'll join JR Motorsports full-time in 2025, after winning his Xfinity Series debut at Watkins Glen last weekend.

When people talk about generational talent and this and that – they often abuse the term. With Zilisch, you cannot say enough about him. At 18 years old, and barely at that, he is the future of NASCAR. Plain and simple.

Alas, Dale Earnhardt Jr. has a superstar for 2025, and that is likely the only season he will get out of him. Zilisch is on the fast track to the Cup Series, hoping to become the youngest Cup champion in history.
