Dan Quinn and Jayden Daniels talk about 4th downs, another loss, and the mini-bye before the Cowboys

Dan Quinn talked to reporters after the Washington Commanders 26-18 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. He opened up the presser by addressing the team's decision to go for it on 4th and 2 at the Eagles 26-yard line in the 4th quarter. Washington was down 12-10 at that point, and could have taken a 1-point lead with 8:01 left on the clock. Quinn said they knew they had to be aggressive on the road against a tough division rival, but the execution wasn't there on the play. He called it a bold call to go for it there, but it was the right call in that situation. Philadelphia's offense was moving the ball, and they had just scored the go-ahead touchdown on their previous drive.

Quinn was asked about Jayden Daniels rib injury that continues to get worked on, on the the sidelines during games. He said it wasn't a factor in tonight's game like he was two weeks ago against the Bears. Quinn said they knew the adversity would come, and this was a tough stretch of games for them. They need to improve, and if they want to be the team they think they can be, they need to close games like this when they have the opportunity.
