Danbury 2024 Election Results: Polls Close, Votes Being Counted
DANBURY, CT — The polls have closed in Danbury, and now we wait for the results to come in through the night and likely into Wednesday morning for several key races.
All eyes, of course, are on the presidential race between main party candidates Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald J. Trump.
Beyond the presidential race, U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy, D-CT, is seeking re-election to a new six-year term and is being challenged by Matthew M. Corey, Justin C. Paglino, and Robert Finley Hyde.
Residents also voted for their local representative in the U.S. Congress, and their local state representative and senators in the General Assembly in Hartford.
Tuesday night's vote totals will also determine whether Connecticut will allow each person to vote by absentee ballot in future elections.
