DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — The Danville School Board of Education will meet on Nov. 20 to discuss Superintendent Alicia Geddis' safety concerns and her work status after threats allegedly were made against Geddis.

According to School Board Agenda records, Kimberly Corley and Darlene Halloran requested the public discussion of the Superintendent's status.

Halloran said the discuss was needed to address community concerns. She said Geddis has not been working in her office due to safety concerns.

According to Geddis, the threats have been happening since the summer.

In May, Geddis said she asked a truck with Confederate flags to take their flags down during a graduation ceremony. Shortly after that, she said she was being followed by trucks with Confederate flags.

Geddis said that she continued to see these flags at school offices and at her home.

Multiple other administrators witnessed these flags as well, according to Geddis.

Geddis also said she has been working remotely because of advice that she received from the Board of Education and an attorney. She was advised to work remotely until FBI was done with their investigation. According to Geddis, the FBI is still investigating.

WCIA hasn't received a response yet on the FOIA request for the police report that Geddis made. WCIA also reached out to the Danville Police Department for a statement on the investigation.

WCIA will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.
