Dauphin County company expands into Kentucky

A traffic control company based in Swatara Township has expanded into another state — Kentucky.

Flagger Force has expanded into the Bluegrass State after it acquired Louisville-based NTC Traffic Control on Oct. 14.

"NTC Traffic Control is committed to delivering high-quality traffic control solutions and trusted safety to their partners in the construction, utility, and other infrastructure-centered sectors. Their drive to provide dependable service while uplifting their employees and communities through several initiatives, including fair-chance hiring and engagement with programs that support the nation's future workforce, is notable," Mike Doner, president and CEO of Flagger Force, said in a news release.

  • NTC Traffic Control, owned by Robin Hall and Michelle James, provides traffic control services, including advanced operations and emergency response in Kentucky and parts of Indiana. The company also rents and sells safety gear and equipment to companies as well as state and federal agencies. Over the next few months, NTC Traffic Control will become Flagger Force in training, equipment, and safety standards.

    Terms of the agreement weren't disclosed.

    Flagger Force was founded in 2002 and employs around 2,000 employees and says it establishes more than 1,000 active work zones daily primarily from Pennsylvania to Florida, supporting most of the major utilities in this region. Flagger Force has offices in Pennsylvania, Kentucky, George, Florida, North Carolina, Maryland, Virginia and South Carolina.
