David Flori OBITUARY
Our father, David Alan Flori, fondly known as Dave or Uncle Dave, passed away peacefully on November 11th, 2024. He was born in Antioch, California to Louis and Elda Flori, the oldest of two children. He lived his whole life in the SF Bay Area, primarily in Concord. Dave is survived by his partner Jan Boscacci, together for 48 years, his sister Alice Hengel, two children, Louis Flori (Katie), and April Perkins (Robert), 5 grandchildren Kayleigh, Lindsey, and Lauren Flori and Tiffiny and Andrew Perkins, and was blessed with three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Dave graduated from Mt. Diablo High School, Concord in 1954, where he met many of his life-long friends. In 1956 he joined the Army and was stationed in Georgia for 2 years. After serving our country, he went to work for Contra Costa Meat Jobbers, in production and sales. Later he would start up his own sheet metal business called Flo Dor, which he loved until he retired. Once Dave retired, you would find him every Friday morning at King's Donuts with a group of those life-long friends. Dave also belonged to Concord Druids
His passion was his Island in the Delta where he spent a lifetime creating and enjoying his personal oasis and his duck club where he enjoyed friendships, hunting and shooting skeet. Our dad loved gathering with friends and family, and reminiscing about many stories from the past.
He was loved by all and will live on in our hearts forever. He will be greatly missed. RIP Dad, we're all so blessed you were a part of our lives.
