DC Weather: Early drizzle Friday but skies to clear by afternoon with highs in the 50s

Lingering showers and drizzle are possible through 9 a.m. Friday. Otherwise, it will be cloudy, cool, and damp to kick off the day. Skies will be slow to clear, but skies will gradually brighten through the afternoon hours. High temperatures will reach the mid-50s with a northwesterly breeze.

Dry conditions are expected overnight. It's the last supermoon of 2024, so it will be very bright and moonlit.

Scattered clouds on Saturday morning will give way to full sunshine during the afternoon. It will be warmer than average with highs peaking in the low 60s. Gusty northwesterly winds are expected, as drier air settles into the region.
