Deadly crash causes traffic slowdown in west Las Vegas valley

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A deadly crash caused a traffic slowdown for drivers Friday night in the west valley, according to police.

The crash took place shortly after 8 p.m. along the northbound lanes of 215 and Flamingo. The far two left travel lanes were closed as of 10 p.m. The far-left lane has been closed, due to construction and the second far-left lane was closed for investigation, Nevada State Police said.

The crash involved a single vehicle. A woman was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Drivers were urged to slow down and use caution when entering the area. The area is expected to be closed for several hours, police said.
