Denham Springs man arrested, charged with possession of child porn after investigation
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office arrested a Denham Springs man in connection to a child porn investigation.
Cory Thames, 34, of Denham Springs, was arrested and booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center. He's charged with 50 counts of possession of pornography involving juveniles.
The investigation started on Wednesday, Sept. 18 and included Internet Crimes Against Children detectives with the and the Louisiana Bureau of Investigations/Attorney General's Office.
They were "contacted by Louisiana Probation and Parole in relation to possible child pornography," according to LPSO.
Agents with Louisiana Probation and Parole were performing a "routine residential check" on Thames, as he "was on probation for an unrelated charge," LPSO said.
During the investigation, detectives found several digital devices with large amounts of child sexual abuse material, according to LPSO.

Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard said in a Facebook post , "All CSAM was associated with numerous and different social media accounts belonging to Cory Thames."
The investigation remains ongoing "and more charges are anticipated," according to LPSO.
