Deputies: 2 injured in four-car crash in Allendale Township

ich. (WOOD) — Authorities say two people were injured in a four-car crash in Allendale Township Monday.

The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office said it happened around 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of Lake Michigan Drive and 60th Avenue.

A 21-year-old Okemos woman was turning westbound onto Lake Michigan Drive from 60th Avenue in front of a 2021 Chevy Silverado driven by a 48-year-old Coopersville man. He tried to avoid hitting her vehicle but still made contact, according to the sheriff's office.

He lost control, went into eastbound traffic and struck a 2015 Toyota Tundra driven by a 65-year-old Zeeland man. The crash caused the Tundra to hit the car next to him, driven by a 39-year-old Allendale woman.

The Zeeland man and 71-year-old woman passenger were both injured and taken to the hospital.
