Deputies assisting firefighters in residential blaze

Members of the Vigo County Sheriff's Office are assisting the fire department with a residential structure fire in the 6100 block of S. S.R. 63, Chief Deputy Steve Meng reported Thursday afternoon. The fire is in the area between Rigney Road and Ryman Drive, and one lane of S.R. 63 is currently shut down. Meng advised drivers to avoid the area as there will be traffic delays. No injuries have been reported, and it has been reported that all persons made it out of the residence. Rep.
