District 2 sets semifinal sites

District 2 has set the sites and starting times for the semifinal round of the basketball playoffs.
Wallenpaupack and Wyoming Valley West will get the round started with a Class AAAA girls’ game Monday at 7 at Wyoming Area.
The rest of the round will be played Tuesday and Wednesday.
Lackawanna College and North Pocono High School will be the sites of doubleheaders Tuesday while the Dallas and Scranton Prep boys play at Marywood University at 7.
The other games, involving both Abington Heights teams, are part of a doubleheader at Pittston Area.
The all-Lackawanna League Class AA girls’ semifinals will be played at Lackawanna. Dunmore and Mid Valley will play at 6 and Montrose and Riverside will play at 7:45.
North Pocono is the site of Class A boys’ semifinals. Forest City and Old Forge play at 6, followed by Susquehanna and MMI Prep at 7:30.
Abington Heights will play Hazleton Area in Class AAAA girls’ at 6 at Pittston Area. The 7:45 game has the Abington Heights boys against Crestwood in Class AAA.
Wednesday’s schedule includes doubleheaders at Scranton High School and Marywood.
The Class A girls semifinals are at Scranton. Northwest and Old Forge play at 6, followed by Forest City and Freeland MMI at 7:30.
The Marywood doubleheader features Dallas and Honesdale in Class AAA girls at 6 then Holy Cross and Riverside in Class AA boys at 8.
The remaining games are in a doubleheader at Pittston Area and single games at Dallas and Wyoming Area.
Delaware Valley and Hazleton Area play in Class AAAA at 6 to start at boys’ doubleheader at Pittston Area. Lakeland and Meyers play at 7:45.
Scranton and Williamsport play in Class AAAA boys at Dallas at 7.
Nanticoke and Scranton Prep play in Class AAA girls at Wyoming Area at 7.
