Donald Trump Hands Dana White Million Dollar Evolution to UFC With Migrant Fighters

Often the day before election day is a quiet affair. However, Republican candidate Donald Trump still made headlines through his speech during an event in Pittsburgh. So what did he say this time? The former president revealed his ambition for Dana White to set up a UFC-style league with only migrant fighters and pit them against UFC champions. Not just that, Trump also stated that the migrants could actually defeat the UFC champions because, according to him, they are more 'nastier' than some fighters in the UFC. "I told the UFC's Dana White, you ought to set up your league of champions, unbelievable best fighters in the world, and a migrant league. At the end, I want the migrant to go against the champion, and I think the migrant might actually win; that's how nasty some of these guys are." Likewise, the ex-POTUS suggested something similar during a rally in Philadelphia (Pennsylvania). The Republican candidate called the immigrants "violent" and proposed they should have their fighting league. Calling it a great business chance, Trump shared the belief the league would make "a lot of money." "I said, 'Dana, I have an idea: Why don't you set up a migrant league of fighters and have your regular league of fighters? And then you have the champion of your league — these are the greatest fighters in the world — fight the champion of the migrants. I think the migrants' guy might win; that's how tough they are," said Trump. Since 2016, Trump has used immigrants as part of his strategy to push his campaign by accusing them of the country's biggest problems. He has often accused them of occupying the jobs of the Americans, especially those of Latinos and African Americans. The former president often reiterates his plans to "begin the largest deportation operation in U.S. history" and to close the country's southern border if he is re-elected. And now this time, he wants Dana White to create a new league featuring just migrants. However, it seems like Donald Trump isn't following the sport since most of the champions in the UFC are non-Americans. Non-Americans ruling the Octagon in the UFC Out of the 11 categories in the UFC, Americans hold only three titles. Namely, the heavyweight title by Jon Jones, the welterweight title by Belal Muhammad, and the bantamweight title by Julianna Pena. Apart from these three, all other championships are held by fighters who are 'non-Americans'. Some notable champions are Brazil's Alex Pereira, middleweight's Dricus Du Plessis, lightweight's Islam Makhachev, and flyweight's Valentina Shevchenko. These are some of the MMA fighters who have proved their might in foreign territory. So fans might actually agree with Donald Trump's claim these immigrants are truly a tough breed to crack because they have been some of the most legendary fighters in the UFC. From Khabib Nurmagomedov to Conor McGregor to Alexander Gustafsson, the UFC has witnessed numerous legends who came to 'The Land of Opportunities' and found success. So in the end, maybe Trump spoke the truth. However, it is upon Dana White to decide if he would like to create a separate league for the migrant fighters or would like to keep things the way they are right now. What do you think? Is this an idea that should be acted upon? Let us know in the comments.
