Downtown Gaylord Witchin’ Night Out to offer specials, game prizes and more

GAYLORD — The Gaylord Downtown Merchants Association invites residents and visitors to head to downtown Gaylord on Oct. 5 for its annual Witchin' Night Out event!

The event will run from 4-8 p.m. Oct 5 and includes savings on merchandise, themed games, fun photo backdrops, complimentary refreshments and prizes galore as well as DMA Bucks, which can be used at a variety of local establishments.

Witchin' Night Out tote bags are the key to an evening of spooky specials and attendees can bring totes from previous years or purchase a new one for just $10 to receive discounts from retailers and restaurants, enter drawings take part in games and get free swag.

Totes may be purchased in advance from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. Sept. 28 at The Rusty Pelican, and will also be available the night of the event.

Participating businesses will display a paper witch's hat on their door or window, so participants know right where the locations taking part are.

Attendees can stop by at White Birch Outfitters, K&M Mercantile, Woolybuggers, Real Estate One, Alpine Chocolat Haus, Snowbelt Brewing Company, Alpine Tavern, CRAVE, The Rusty Pelican, Gaylord Area Council for the Arts, Tools to Teach and Great Rooms Furniture.

Complimentary witch hats, courtesy of Horizon Bank, will be distributed at Brennan's Up North Coffee Shop while supplies last.

The DMA is also launching a contest through the Facebook event for Witchin' Night Out. Participants can enter the "Best Witch Hat Contest" by posting a photo wearing a witch hat on the event page now through 9 p.m. Oct. 4.

The DMA is a group of actively involved business partners who strive to enhance the downtown experience for shoppers, diners, locals and visitors alike.
