Drew Barrymore is known for her hands on approach whilst interviewing guests on The Drew Barrymore Show, but the actress' infectious on-screen energy sometimes leaves her guests visibly uncomfortable.

After raising eyebrows following her handsy interview with Martha Stewart , 84, this week, viewers couldn't help but feel some second-hand embarrassment for the talk show host.

The interview went slightly off topic when Barrymore, 49, bit her finger and playfully asked Martha: 'What makes you soft and gooey?' The question, and Barrymore's subsequent attempt to caress Stewart, prompted the cookbook author to playfully shove the host away.

From her backlash surrounding her interview with Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris , to her bizarre touchy chats on her infamous couch, the actress always makes an impact when chatting to her famous peers.

Here, FEMAIL looks back some of the cringy moments of the actress' talk show.

Martha Stewart The cook was a guest on an episode of The Drew Barrymore Show this week, which made a point of celebrating her legacy and paid homage to the famous cook as the 'original' influencer.

The interview went slightly off topic, however, when Drew, 49, bit her finger and playfully asked Martha: 'What makes you soft and gooey?'

Eventually, Martha replied: 'Soft and gooey treatment.'

'Soft and gooey treatment?' mom-of-two Drew repeated, as she proceeded to start caressing her guest's arm. 'When you're treated like a lady?'

'It's nice,' Martha confirmed.

'When someone comes in...' Drew continued, but before she could complete her sentence Martha batted her away while declaring 'you're the wrong gender!'

'I know, I know,' the E.T. actress relented as she dramatically fell back on the sofa.

'Although, the way it's going with men though, Martha, I'm not so sure anymore.'

The uncomfortable moment was soon over though when one of Drew's dogs came up to the sofa, making for a nice distraction.

Dua Lipa In May, Dua Lipa, 29, and the talk show host lost their balance and nearly fell over on stage as they hugged in front of hundreds of fans while filming an interview for The Drew Barrymore Show.

The duo were equally in awe of each other, as they fawned over one another and their collective new moniker 'Drua,' which prompted them to shriek and stumble backwards.

Chloë Sevigny In an October episode of her talk show, the actress revealed she had a secret bathroom hook-up with Chloë Sevigny back in the '90s.'

'We shared something in the bathroom in the '90s. What was it?' Barrymore asked, before giving the options of lipstick, toilet paper, or a kiss.

After the woman selected lipstick as her final answer, Barrymore mused: 'Well, it did involve lipstick.'

'It was the '90s!' Sevigny said, with a laugh.

The Charlie's Angels star added: 'It was the '90s. It was a kiss. We were very free and just having the best time and it was just the sexiest, cutest, most [meow].'

Terry Crews In an October episode of her talk show, Barrymore let an X-rated sex confession slip during a game of ping pong with Brooklyn Nine-Nine actor Terry Crews.

The presenter admitted to having sex in public places on 'several' occasions, including in bathroom stalls and on airplanes.

After Drew accidentally batted the ball off the table, she was faced with a playful question that asked whether she'd ever 'done the deed' in a public place.

The former child star went on to cheekily say she'd had sex in 'several' public places.

'Bathrooms, airplanes, backs of cars, I don't know. I had a good time when I was young,' she quipped.

She then embraced the actor at the end of her admission.

Chris Hemsworth Barrymore isn't a stranger to fangirling over her own guests, recalling the first time she almost met Australian actor Chris Hemsworth, 41, when he appeared on her show.

Hemsworth left the mom-of-two blushing after he revealed that he saw her in a hair salon during a very awkward encounter.

The pair were both getting their hair done in the same place in Los Angeles a decade ago - but Barrymore admitted she was too star stuck to introduce herself.

'I just so wanted to be respectful. I was freaking out the whole time!' she recalled.

'I still too get so excited about people. For three weeks, since we've known you were coming on this show, we were like, 'Chris Hemsworth is coming on the show.' I'll never lose sight of how incredible that is' the He's Just Not That Into You actress admitted.

Jason Kelce In April, Barrymore raised eyebrows after covering the former Eagles center completely in flowers, after greeting him backstage at WrestleMania in Philadelphia.

The actress, Kelce, and his former teammate, Lane Johnson, were all guest celebrities in the WWE's two-night celebration through April 6 and 7 at Lincoln Financial Field.

After the event, a video of Barrymore, in character as Flower Power, meeting Kelce and Johnson backstage surfaced. She handed Kelce a gold WWE replica belt before covering him in flowers.

'I am Flower Power,' she said as she entered the room. Kelce played along with the character, saying: 'You look unbelievable.'

'Thank you very much,' Barrymore responded. 'Flower Power wanted to dress up to present you with this [belt] that has been all over the place. It was at the Super Bowl, but it needs to come home to you, Jason and Lane, and come home to Philly.'

'I love this, Flower Power, thank you for delivering the golden belt for WrestleMania,' Kelce exclaimed before they broke character. Barrymore was the first to break as she introduced herself and gushed over the former Eagle and veteran offensive tackle.

Henry Winkler Barrymore was left choking during an interview with veteran actor Henry Winkler, after taking a sip for a mug while chatting to the 79-year-old.

Fans gasped as the talk show excused herself and ran off the set while signaling for help.

'Don't you worry. Don't you worry. It's Ok,' Winkler said comforting Barrymore as she hurried backstage. 'No? OK.'

Knowing that the show must go on, the Happy Days star jumped into action and asked the audience: 'So, thank you for being here. It is such a pleasure. So, while we're waiting, is there anything you'd like to hear about?'

Austin Butler Barrymore's interview techniques were bought into question again in April, raising eyebrows after her chat with Austin Butler resurfaced - with uncomfortable viewers declaring her style 'invasive.'

The talk show host, 49, invited the Hollywood actor and his Masters of the Air costar, Callum Turner, on her program back in February, where they shared the advice they received from George Clooney.

During the interview, Drew sat close to Austin as she revealed that George had once encouraged her to maintain eye contact while shooting a scene – despite her finding it 'intimate.'

After a clip from their chat was posted on Drew's social media pages, viewers couldn't help but notice the host's physical closeness to Austin, with one going as far as claiming she was 'frightening' him.
