Driver dead after Simpson County rollover crash: KSP
SIMPSON COUNTY, Ky. (WKRN) — An investigation is underway following a Friday crash in Simpson County that resulted in the death of an Allen County man.
Kentucky State Police (KSP) said it responded to a single-vehicle collision in the 1400 block of Cedar Bluff Road on Friday, Nov. 15.
According to officials, the preliminary investigation indicates a 1998 Freightliner semi-truck dropped off the left side of the road and rolled onto the driver's side.
The driver — identified by KSP as 32-year-old Clarence Hoover of Scottsville — was partially ejected from the vehicle. The Simpson County Coroner's Office later pronounced Hoover dead, authorities said.
Members of the Simpson County Sheriff's Office and Simpson County Fire also helped KSP –which is reportedly leading the investigation into the crash — at the scene.
No additional details have been released about Friday's deadly collision.
