Driver flown to hospital after Geneva crash

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Two women were hospitalized Sunday morning after a crash in Geneva.

According to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office, around 8:30 a.m. firefighters were in the area of Route 5 and 20 in Geneva when the crash happened. Crews jumped into action, aiding the victims on scene, according to deputies.

Both drivers were hospitalized. One of the women was sent to Geneva General to be treated for what were described as mild wounds and back pain. The other was flown via Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial in Rochester. Both are now listed as stable, according to deputies.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, and all of the surrounding roads have since been reopened.
