Drunk driver convicted after girlfriend dies in Roseville crash

(FOX40.COM) — A man who drove drunk and caused a crash that resulted in the death of his girlfriend was recently convicted of manslaughter.

On Easter Sunday, 2021, Anthony Irace was under the influence of various drugs when he chose to get behind the wheel and drive, according to the Roseville Police Department . Irace, who had two prior DUI convictions, crashed his car while his girlfriend rode in the passenger seat. She died from her injuries.

Irace was brought to court in 2024 and pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter, with gross negligence, while under the influence. RPD said he pleaded to 25 years in the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation and is awaiting sentencing.
