Drunk driver crashes into bus stop, Fairfield police say

(FOX40.COM) — A drunk driver was arrested after he crashed into a bus stop, according to the Fairfield Police Department.
At 3:03 a.m. on Oct. 3, FPD responded to the Fairfield Vacaville Train Station for a report of a vehicle that crashed into a bus stop. When officers arrived at the scene, they said they found a vehicle and bus stop with major damage.

FPD said the damaged vehicle was the same car they were searching for earlier in the night after reports of a drunk driver. Officers searched the area and found the driver at a nearby Quick Stop. He was arrested for alleged DUI and hit and run.
