Dry and seasonable Monday before cold front arrives midweek
High pressure remains in control for the start of the week with dry conditions and seasonable temperatures. Highs today with near 80 degrees this afternoon with a mix of sun and clouds.
Expect partly cloudy conditions into the evening with overnight lows in the upper 60s and lower 70s tonight.
Changes arrive for the middle of the week as a strong cold front is set to move into the southeast while the remnants of Sara moves into the Gulf of Mexico.
This front will arrive to south Florida on Wednesday, bringing rain and the chance for a few isolated storms. The severe weather threat remains low, though storms that develop could produce strong wind gusts.
This cold front will clear the region quickly, ushering in cooler and drier air for the end of the week.
Temperatures will drop into the upper 60s and lower 70s for afternoon highs with overnight temperatures in the 50s.
Below normal temperatures will linger into the start of the weekend before we gradually warm into next week.
